The Mardasson Memorial is one huge monument in Bastogne,Belgium.

One of the supporting columns of the Mardasson Memorial, of which there are many....
has the insignia or logos of each Division....
one being the "Golden Acorn" of the 87th Infantry Division.

The emblems of all the Division Units that fought in the ARDENNES CAMPAIGN 
are shown on the supporting columns of the Monument, 
including that of our  87th Infantry Division.

JUNE - 2007 - per email from Karen (Gorman) Baker.
Her Dad (Edward J. Gorman) was in the 345th Regiment (Company G). 
Karen said she just received the most recent Golden Acorn News, 
and one of the stories reminded her husband that he had taken pictures of several 
grave markers while on a trip to Europe several years ago. 
They are from 2 different military cemeteries (Hamm in Luxembourg and St. Avold in France). 

She aslo sent this photo of the 87th Division plaque at the Bastogne Memorial.

I am proud of this picture which made the AP News World Wide.
I was chosen with Mr. Flores to lay the wreath at the 
Mardasson Memorial on Dec. 16, 2004.

It was the 60th Anniversary VBOB Tour.

Tuesday, November 6, 2006.

The tank will stay in the Rocourt Arsenal until next April or May and will be cleaned, repainted and refitted. 
All the inhabitants of Bastogne are already waiting for its come back.
