“Ollie was the 1st Sgt..
He was the one who had the company clerk do the daily journal.
It was his responsibility for that to happen.
Don't know why he kept only these pages – Dec-1944 – May 1945.
Original is on onion skin paper, but it's legal size paper.”

Can you believe it!!
Through placing request for any information/photos about the
549th AAA AW BN - Btry C,
just look at all the items that many have contributed after finding us here....

I now have this great find - the daily journal kept to show my Dad,
who wanted to know about his brother, Mel’s time/place
during the Battle of the Bulge..

And it all started in 2004 with Tim Muilenburg,
Son of Ivan Muilenburg contributing the unit photo..

Here’s to the great soldiers of the 549th AAA AW Bn Btry C,
and also to the family members of those men who are making sure their
time/place in the war will be documented for generations to come.
